Pannon Philharmonic celebrates community power with outdoor concerts

At their first summer concert „Under the Open Sky”, the chamber music formation of the Pannon Philharmonic welcomes the audience live with lighter yet high standard classical compositions. The event will take place in the Pyrogranite Courtyard of the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter, and musical diversity and great experience are ensured by the varied pieces using a range of different instruments. The open air ABBA concert at Dóm Square in August will be a real feast of joy. At Dóm Square on 20 August, the orchestra will await the audience with a gala concert celebrating the Hungarian national holiday. More »

What does silver have to do with music? The Pécs-based orchestra, which is always ready to come up with a surprise, will show you the connection. The ticket office of Pannon Philharmonic is open again at Kodály Centre!

On 10 June, 2020, Pannon Philharmonic began with the renewal of subscriptions for the new season, the sale of new subscriptions as well as the rescheduling or – if required - refunding of individual and season tickets for cancelled concerts. Please note that the ticket office of Kodály Centre can be visited between 10 June and 20 August from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. only by prior appointment wearing a mask which covers both your nose and mouth. Let’s Play Music Together!

We are inviting applications by PTE students and lecturers who, although might not be professional musicians, can confidently play a particular acoustic musical instrument. The selected applicants will have the opportunity to perform with the musicians of the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra at a Classical Chill Out concert taking place on 1 April 2020. Prestigious festivals

Pannon Philharmonic has been regularly invited to more and more prestigious festivals. With the arrival of the summer, the orchestra performs regularly at several international festivals in Hungary. At the 1st International Domingo Festival of Pécs they gave an outdoor gala concert and participated in an opera performance as Plácido Domingo's partner. They entered the Armel Opera Festival for the first time with their own production and won the Audience’s Choice Award by Arte Television. The Orchestra also featured the Bartók Plusz Opera Festival as a guest performer. The audience of the Hungarian capital can meet Pannon Philharmonic at the Budapest Festival Orchestra Marathon every year. More »
