The beginning of a new year always carries a certain duality, that is to say some retrospection, summarising the previous year and forming expectations for the new one and the future. The New Year’s Gala Concert by the Pannon Philharmonic is going to be presented in the spirit of duality as well; apart from the traditional Viennese music the audience is going to hear Carmina Burana, the most popular composition by Carl Orff, which was composed for the medieval poem collection also referred to as the hymn of spring, wine and love.
