It is a feature of the greatest composers that they give not only works to posterity but also an outlook and a philosophy. The Moment's Notice Trio strives for a uniqueness similar to the individual, independent and incomparable musical languages of Ligeti and Kurtág. During their concert, the two composers' pieces will be played in short excerpts, and then improvisation will take over, inspired simultaneously by classical, jazz, and electronic music. The trio of György Kurtág Jr, László Gőz and Miklós Lukács is completed by the percussion of the composer-improviser Lukas Ligeti and the incomparable trumpet play and electronic accompaniment of Kornél Fekete-Kovács. In the second half of the concert, the Modern Art Orchestra, led by Kornél Fekete-Kovács, will introduce Kurtág's music to the world of jazz and the audience to the shared universe of these two genres.

MOMENT'S NOTICE TRIO:

László Gőz - bass trumpet, wind instruments

Miklós Lukács - cimbalom

György Kurtág Jr. - keyboard instruments, electronic music

Kornél Fekete-Kovács - trumpet, electronic music

The concert was funded by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation Support Administration.
