100 years ... The epochal and double Kossuth Prize and triple Erkel Award-winning Hungarian composer, pianist and chamber music professor, György Kurtág, will celebrate his 100th birthday on 19 February 2026. The orchestra will celebrate him with a special concert on this day.

Every composer's long career begins in a certain way. At this concert, the musicians of the Pannon Philharmonic will perform Kurtág's earliest chamber works, and the show will be framed by two special chamber works by two composers who played a decisive role in Kurtág's life: Bach and Beethoven. Come and meet the young György Kurtág and his role models at this concert!

The project is part of the BMC Kurtág 100 event series.

The concert takes place as part of BMC's cooperation within the framework of the Kurtag100 Festival, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation.

The project is part of the BMC Kurtág 100 program series.
