Stage Door II.
Chamber Music in Arm’s Reach
Gabriel Fauré: Requiem - Agnus Dei
Zoltán Bánfalvi: Trio Ostinato - Mvt. 4
Woldemar Bargiel: Adagio
Chick Corea: Spain
France and Hungary, and a pinch of Iberia. These are the places you can visit if you listen to this concert.
At the start of the event, you can enjoy Lully’s Baroque from the royal court of the Sun King. Then Fauré’s docile and intimate piece will delight its listeners. From Hungary, the orchestra will first play Béla Bartók’s, then its very own concertmaster, Zoltán Bánfalvi’s works. Finally, you can relish the melodies of David Popper, the Czech-born cellist, who taught in Hungary for decades. Chick Corea's cheerful chords will conclude the evening.
