Ms. Lisa Fischer was a backing vocalist for Luther Vandross, the Rolling Stones, Sting, Tina Turner and the Nine Inch Nails for many decades before winning a Grammy Award under her own steam with her R’n’B hit How Can I Ease The Pain. It is fair to say she is a true team player, but when she found herself in the spotlight once again in the 2013 film 20 Feet From Stardom (and won another Grammy), she decided to remain centre stage. Ever since, she has been mesmerising audiences all over the world with her band, Grand Baton, and their inexhaustible repertoire. Ms. Fischer sings with astonishing energy and expressive force, so it is no wonder that Keith Richards (with whom she toured for 26 years) remains an enthusiastic fan. At the JazzTime festival, she will perform with the Pannon Philharmonic, who are known as masters of the crossover genre and regularly appear at Müpa Budapest to great acclaim.
