Fantastical Classical for Schoolkids

Aren’t the past generations entertaining? How did they cool off or celebrate parties? Our ensemble takes farewell from the winter with a fantastic Carnival concert.

Did pop music exist in the past? Did people have fun dance-music? It turns out that the party music of the past is not at all far from ours, only the context is a bit different. Even if we don’t exactly teach our audience how to dance, we will at least show them that our ancestors were not at all spiritless if it was about fun. We will go on a time travel adventure to a fantastic Carnival of the past with opera excerpts, dance music and the “pop music” of the time.

The Series’ host:

Krisztián Horváth choral conductor, pianist, and composer

Krisztián will act as the host of all three concerts. The Pécs-based audience might be familiar with him as a choral conductor and pianist or might have encountered his name as the composer of musical theatre pieces. Many, however, are not aware that Krisztián is the head of an art school, and with his great sense of humour and casual style towards his students, he has been very successful as the host of numerous youth concerts. Let's welcome him as a new partner of the Pannon Philharmonic.
