Pannon Philharmonic

The Pannon Philharmonic, whose seat is situated close to Osijek, will delight the Croatian audience with chamber music pieces from near and far in various formations. Mahler used to work in an Empire that encompassed Austria, Bohemia, Hungary as well as Croatia. His composition will be followed by a sextet by Francis Poulenc and the Hanover-based, Romantic cellist’s Georg Goltermann’s Romance. Making a step geographically closer but still remaining in the Romantic era, we will continue the programme with the 1st movement from the famous clarinet quintet by Brahms, who would frequently give concerts in Hungary’s capital, Budapest.  The night will come to a crowning end with four pieces written by the emperor of Argentinian tango, Astor Piazzolla. Visitors from Osijek are most welcome to visit us also in Pécs!
