"A Top Orchestra of Hungary"

The orchestra was opening the season in Budapest with a very successful concert. "The ensemble of Pécs is a top-orchestra of Hungary" - says the critical review of the fidelio.hu.

The orchestra gave its Budapest series season opening concerto n November 15, at the Palace of Arts, together with the Amadinda Percussions Group – with a big success. On the programme were Levente Gyöngyösi’s new work, the Sinfonia concertante and Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring.

"...they played music with obvious ease and great style, focused and precisely” – writes the article author and continues like this: "...this interpretation got convincing not just because of the polished details; one can only praise the large-scale formation and the common representation of the conductor’s strategy. Tibor Bogányi conducted superbly, sparingly and expressively. [...] Looking from the audience’s seats, it seemed that the Pannon Philharmonic jumped over the high-set bar confidently: the ensemble and the conductor deserved a longer and more enthusiastic applause."
