Our Orchestra Is Looking Forward to a Busy Weekend

On February 3, a Sunday filled with events and work is waiting for our orchestra at the Palace of Arts; neither our musicians nor our management members do have any rest: a Gigi Radics rehearsal, a concert master audition, and the Bartók-marathon are coming.

Before our performance with Gigi Radics and her band of pop musicians on Valentine's Day in Pécs, the young talent is rehearsing the songs, to be played at the concert, on Sunday at the Palace of Arts in Budapest, with piano accompaniment with Christian Schumann and András Vass conductors. After the rehearsal, "just for relax”, Gigi could even walk over to another rehearsal room of the Palace of Arts, where those musicians who want to continue their careers as the concert master of us are going to have an audition.

Meanwhile, in the morning, at the Palace of Arts shall start the musical marathon, whose theme of this year is the oeuvre of Béla Bartók. On the stage, the country's most prestigious symphony orchestras will change each other until late in the evening; the Pannon Philharmonic gives a concert conducted by Tibor Bogányi at 7pm. We are going to perform Béla Bartők’s Piano Concerto No.2 with the soloist Dénes Várjon and The Miraculous Mandarin suite.
