Géza Kovács, the director general of the National Philharmonic, having been agreed with Zoltán Kocsis’s family has informed the public that the Maestro’s rapidly improving condition had allowed to leave the cardiology ward. Currently, the preparation for his internal medicine rehab is going on. In this, he would like to affirm his gratitude for the many well-wishes; but a fundamental condition of his recovery is, beside the medical care, is the complete rest so only his closest relatives can visit the Maestro. As is known, until his recovery, Zoltán Kocsis’s concerts will be conducted by guest conductors; however, his solo concert, announced for December 14 in Pécs, is cancelled.
