One More Wunderlich-Talent

The violinist Adorján Zsófia had been playing at the Pannon Philharmonic for years; and then, four years ago, she chose the teacher career, as a main vocation – she became a violin teacher at the Art High School of Pécs. One of her first students was Miklós Wunderlich from Pécs, whose name could be familiar to the audiences of Baranya as the brother of his, József Wunderlich, who appeared in the television talent search Társulat (Company), recently could be heard to sing  in the operetta Princess Czardas.

- I am one of six siblings; and almost each of us plays a musical instrument. By the way, my brother has studied the violin, as well; and that has helped him a lot how to behave on stage, but also how to play an instrument - reports Miklós about the family relationship.
- We have chosen Sarasate’s Gipsy Songs, because it is very suited to his personality. It is a virtuoso work, in which one can shine a lot, but it is also steeped with passion. I knew that he could master it; and it is extremely cool that he can perform it in such setting - says the teacher.
- I like this piece because it is effective in alternating slow and fast parts, and to play every element well is a challenge. I would recommend it to my friends like this: you could have fun with it, on an artistic level. I hope that my big stage debut will be a success, for I would like to continue my studies at the Art Faculty of the University of Pécs; and my dream is that someday I will be solo artist - confesses the young violinist about the piece.
- Miklós has a very good ear; and if he is really interested in something, he can concentrate on it very much and mobilize fantastic forces – evaluates the teacher her pupil. - Just one example: there was a time at school when he was really taken by music and practising, so some bad notes at math slipped into his report card. Well, he put a month effort on the subject, and quickly compensated them. As for his playing: his violin sounds nicely and the technique of his is excellent; now, there should be expected a huge change in his life.
