Pannon Series - Palace of Art - 2015/2016

I’d be happy to listen to the whole, played by them…” – so said the recent critique about the Pannon philharmonic’s concert on Budapest. And the orchestra is happy to continue playing: it awaits its audience in the   2015/2016 season at the Palace of Arts, again. With the 10-year-anniversary of the Palace of arts, the Pannon Philharmonic’s subscription series has a celebration, too; and while on the retrospective screen one can see the cathartic concerts and exceptional musical experiences, in the rehearsal hall, the ensemble is already preparing the next year’s colourful programme.

The pea-bold musical menu of the 2015/2016 season is the compilation of the thematic concert programmes of the earlier years: the Pannon Philharmonic’s new series calls all, any member of the audience could find in it a work especially dedicated their. The big four Bs (the four big Bs) of the composers have important roles in the programme: the carriers of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Bruckner sums the most important moments of German orchestral music. The vital musical world of late romantic period and impressionism would be evoked by works of R. Strauss, Ravel, and Respighi, besides Bruckner. The lovers of symphonies would be welcome by the all-time classics, among them Beethoven’s 5th, the “Fate” and Brahms’s last symphony, the 4th. The delightfulness would be smuggled into the concert hall by enchanting melodies of French, Spanish, Italian, and Basque composers’ music; works of Ravel, Lalo, Turina, Guridi, Respighi, and Casella are going to be interpreted by such nasters as Gilbert Varga and Paolo Paroni. And as always for the last ten years also in the 2015/2016 season, prominent guest artists from the international music scene guarantee the continuous reincarnation of musical experiences giving new and new occasions for celebrating the inexhaustible world of music.
