The Pannon Philharmonics in Your Home - Live streaming from the Kodály Centre

Our productions are famous for their bold programme concepts, outstanding guest performers and high standards. These concerts combine deeply spirited music-making with the joy of a shared experience. We now offer you real-time live streams of our concerts (even if not each one) to enjoy in your home. The cinema-quality streaming and the professional sound technology allow you to immerse online in the singular atmosphere and acoustics of Kodály Centre while staying comfortably at home.

As of 10 November, 2020, new restrictive measures of the Hungarian Government entered into effect. The effective regulations are taken into absolute consideration in the operation of the Pannon Philharmonic, and accordingly, some of the concerts are streamed live from Kodály Centre.

Live concerts that were to be held within the next 30 days will be scheduled for a later date.

Tickets and subscriptions purchased for them will naturally be valid for the replacement concerts. We will keep you posted on the rescheduled dates and times.

Subscription-holders of concerts in Kodály Centre, Pécs will be given free access to the live-streaming. Also individual ticket-holders who decide not to claim a refund are entitled to free of charge access to the concerts they bought their tickets for.

Rescheduled concerts will be streamed online from Kodály Centre at 8 pm on the originally rescheduled dates.

The process of buying tickets is like all other online purchase: you need to register only once and then online payment follows by bank card. A confirmation email will include the link which you are to click on to virtually enter the concert hall and attend the concert.  We recommend you perform these steps in time so that you can look forward to the beginning of the concert without stress. Livestreaming online begins at the announced start time, but the concert itself may begin a few minutes later. Similarly to live concerts, should the duration of the programme require it, a 20-minute intermission will be given.

NEXT LIVE STREAM CONCERT

At 8 pm on 21  NOVEMBER, 2020

The Pannon Philharmonic concert titled "Tears" will be streamed live from the concert hall of Kodály Centre, conducted by Gilbert Varga. The Kossuth and Liszt Awards-winning pianist Gergely Bogányi will star as the soloist of the evening, playing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto in C minor on the newly developed Bogányi grand piano designed in cooperation with Hungarian engineers. The title is very telling: To start with, the concert title was to be “Tears and Pranks”, but as we were forced to change the original programme, we just crossed out half of the title. No audience is allowed to enter Kodály Centre, so all is left is “Tears”.

At the same time, it is excellent news that the bond between us can be kept alive; the joy of music can still be passed on. Though online, the streaming is live thanks to technology.

The Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra invites everyone to a fabulous, imaginary voyage on the wings of music from Russia to America.

The next event to be aired online is our Soaring  concert with the double Kossuth Prize- and Liszt Prize-winning pianist Dezső Ránki.

The Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra is celebrating the 85-year old pianist, Péter Frankl, with the concert entitled Soaring.

The concert entitled ‘Soaring’ is available via live stream from the Kodály Centre on Saturday 10 October from 6 PM. Following Béla Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 3 featuring the world-famous pianist Dezső Ránki, you will hear a magical French and Russian tale; the music of Ravel and Stravinsky. The melodies of the latter guide the audience into the world of Russian folklore in which the firebird taking the shape of a fairy defeats evil. The concert is conducted by Varga Gilbert, Chief Conductor.
