Our musicians play either in the concert orchestra or in the sinfonietta. The two orchestras always collaborate at operas or other one-off productions. In the orchestra you can find mature musicians, who joined the orchestra long before it was founded and young musicians at the beginning of their careers. Since the transformation of the orchestra the number of young musician have increased intensely, who studied at music academies and universities. Many of the members are teachers of the Secondary Special School of Arts or the University of Pécs. Former teachers and students are sitting next to each other as members of the orchestra. You can also meet our musicians as soloists or musicians in other formations: the Sopianae String Quintet and the Symphonic Brass Quintet are formed by musicians of the Pannon Philharmonics. The jazz band, called Six For You features Szabolcs Kiss and László Pecskó, our trumpeters. Young artists give Mozart concerts regularly to infants and pregnant women (Ágnes Morvay - violin, Zsuzsanna Hartyányi - cello, Orsolya Büttner - violin, Fruzsina Ján - viola).

Many amateur orchestras of the town are led by our musicians: The String Orchestra of the House of Youth is led by Kornél Győri, our bass-player, Ferenc Szabó, our percussionist is the first man of the Mecsek Miners Brass Band, Gyurkó István, our trumpeter is the leader of the Black Diamond Brass Band and the Orchestra of the Secondary Special School of Arts is led by Murin Jaroszláv, our viola player. Rehearsals are held at the Music Park (Pécs, Felsőmalom Street).

Our guest artists are leading musicians of the world. They acknowledge our work and the professional standard of the orchestra. Zsolt Hamar music director's principle is that orchestra members have to learn from the guest artists, so that these collaborations should not only be about a successful concert but they must serve the development of the orchestra.
