Zoltán Peskó

"An Angel Sat Down to My Table"

Peskó Zoltan was born in 1937 in Budapest. He grew up in a middle-class family and studied at the famous Fasori High School (“in the Alley”), which give start to a lot of great artists and scientists’ careers in our country. He graduated at Franz Liszt Academy of Music in 1962, and then worked at the National Theatre as a conductor and composer. He taught at the Theatre and Film Academy, too. His very first professional steps were followed with attention even by Zoltán Kodály and Gyula Illyés. Zoltán Peskó was the Pannon Philharmonic’s music director and principal conductor from October 2009 to September 2011.
